Well ocming from you man, your opinion is like gold to meconsidering you have one of the nicest stangs on here. So you really think i should get the cobra rear? I like the cobra rear, its just i didnt think it would look right without tailpipes ya know. I dont know Im really worried about the front, i love the way the front end looks with a saleen bumper, its just looks perfect. but i have the molding problem not matching the gt sideskirts. And my car has t tops dont forget.Everytime i see the gt t tops on here, they look so damn good, i havent really seen a lx t top all done up, but to me the extra "width" so to speak of the gt makes the t tops stick out.
Lol, well thanks. I think your best bet to get similar to what you want would be Cobra fender extensions as well as a Cobra rear bumper. The saleen stuff looks the best to me, but the Cobra stuff is nice as well. I don't prefer GT skirts, but with a Cobra rear looks alright. Without tailpipes it would look a little boring, but a nice set of 3" tails aren't too expensive and would tie it in nice.
It's your car in the end, I just like the two tone your looking to do!
I wanted to stick with a gt rear, purely for the fact that i wont look naked if i run dumps, which is the sound im looking for, who knows tho. Maybe i will go with a nice 3 inch chrome muffler back.
Now the cobra fender extensions, where do they go? Im trying to look at a picture of them and figure it out, do they go in front of the front wheels? If so , If i run the saleen front bumper, how will they work or can they. I guess im trying to do the impossible here and run a saleen front with gt stuff. But i know demented50h, ran his like this for a little while and i dont think it was too bad. If the cobra extensions will get rid of the small molding to big molding problem, then they may work. I am pretty sure my car started as an lx, so i will have to look at the moldings on the door, because they should be small. I would just have to figure out a way to get rid of the larger molding on the gt sideskirt.

I would say find a good body man and ask about the Saleen cover on the GT bumper. It wouldn't be hard to do, just time consuming to get it looking right. You could try and cut the GT stuff off the side skirts, and use the LX front (with a Saleen cover), a Saleen rear and LX side moldings. It all CAN be done, just a matter of what you want in the end.
