PI intake installation

No, I havent done the heads yet. I figured if i'm going to do heads I will get some CNC'd aftermarket heads like from patirot or livernois. What company has the best heads for a street car looking for optimum performance for about 1200 dollars. It will take awhile to save up for that though, but I can dream right?:D
 
Just RTV the coolants as others have or you could buy the adaptor plates that are being sold.

You should pick up some PI cams as well. Putting the cams in + the intake will give you a nice gain :nice:

I currently have all of my pi cam swap parts + cams, and am looking to pick me up the pi intake now.

My suggestion for you is to check out the Ford Parts section and get in contact with Randy Stinchcomb from Modular-depot. He'll give you the part number and you can order it from him.

I don't want to sound like a jerk here but you're grossly misinformed when it comes to this if you think he'll LOSE power. He will gain power, especially in the upper RPM range, with a simple PI Manifold swap. It won't get as drastic gains as it would if he did PI cams or some sort of cam swap with it, but it'll still relieve the bottleneck that the NPI manifold is. I've read numerous times where people talk about the car not falling flat on its face when it hits 4000+RPM's like it usually does. Read my sig for my install guide, and search for more guides.
 
OK so im ready to install my new PI intake. Does anyone know the part # for the new waterpump tube that I'm going to need? And could someone recomend a good walkthrough article for this? Thanks

water pump O-ring F1VY-8507-A

and you'll prob need a different alt brkt, but that part # depends on which intake you're using

You are correct Red2000GT.

I don't believe Red2000GT is saying you are going to make less power overall, what he is saying is that you are limiting the potential of making the most power possible with the PI heads. Anytime time you induce that kind of turbulence that would be associated with that type of runner misalignment, you are going to hurt your potential for power. Of course you will show gains on the dyno, but they won't be as high as if you were to have the heads/intake runners modified or adapted to be aligned and provide a laminar flow with no shear all the way to the back of the valve.
