I found somebody that has a pi stallion TQ converter for sale. It is a 3600 stall for a 4r70w. This will work on the aode right? Also how much would it cost to get the stall changed to like 3000? Or could I get it free if it is still under warranty?

How much should I offer him for this? He says it has less than 3k miles. Its single disk. If I ended up going turbo how would this work?

Would $350 shipped be to low if he got it restalled? Or would $400 shipped be reasonable?

I think if it's still under the 2 year warranty it's free plus shipping. Is it a single disc or multi disc? i'm pretty sure it will fit.

Thier converters are good to 1000+ hp. The multi disc lockup is if you want full lockup at any gear. To upgarde to a multi disc and change the stall it's about $400 shipped from pi.

What does full lockup at any gear mean? Whats your stall?

also what would be a good stall for a DD? Car is stock right now.

I found out that lockup would be better for a DD.

The multi disc means you can lock the converter at a 1-1 so there is no slip between the engine and the tranny. A single disc can only lock up so much and the computer slips it so it dosent start to get worn out.

I'm running a 3400 stall on mine.

I would go with a 2800-3000 for a dd and the nice thing about it on the highway is the converter locks the same if it was a 2000 stall or a 4000 stall.

if u plan on going with a h/c/i combo or if u r planning on a power adder, u r going to definately want to go with a multi disk converter. it will last a lot longer, than a single with anything over 300 rwhp.

What is that multi disk supposed to handle? Do they say that it can take 600hp and torque or do they not say at all? I don't want to get something and it craps out on me after a few years.

Is a multi disk stallion better than an edge street?
