PI Swap on 96 GT Questions

Just picked up a steal of a deal (60 bucks) on a complete Windsor setup of a 99 GT 35th Aniv.

Parts I got:

99 PI Intake Manifold Complete With Injectors and Rails.
99 PI Windsor Heads Complete With Valve Covers, Head Bolts, Cams etc...

My first question is, I know that my engine has the Romeo Heads, Will I be able to use my stock timing cover? If not What Cars/Years Can I get a timing cover off of?

Secondly The Valve cover on the head that the oil cap is on is cracked, I know i cannot use my Romeo Valve cover. What Cars/Years Can I get a valve cover from? Can it be from a crown vic or Grand Marquis? Or can I only use a 99-00 Mustang Valve Cover?

I'm pretty sure these are common questions but I have searched for the past few days and can't seem to find these specific answers.

You are going to need to use the stock Romeo timing cover. This is needed to retain the mounting for the coil packs. You may find it necessary to drill out 1-2 bolt holes that have the 10 MM bolts holes. Just make note of the 10MM bolt holes and make sure the 10MM bolts will fit through the timing cover.

Just about every truck (F-150) has a Windsor motor. So that's a great place to start looking for replacement valve covers. Depending upon MY will determine which side the oil filler is located.

The other thing to watch out for is the later MY's will have a slightly different PCV system. The grommet is gone and the size of the PCV line is MUCH (1/2") larger. So if the donor is 2001+, expect some issues to overcome in the PCV area.

Ok so if I were to find an f150 with a good set of covers with the oil filler on the opposite side, could I use the matching set on the heads? Does the side that the oil filler is on matter if its a matching set of covers? The PCV relocation shouldn't be an issue as I can just pick up some PCV hose and do some re-routing correct?

I spotted it laying around in a friend of a friends garage the other night, offered him 50 bucks for *****s and giggles, to my great surprise he said give me 60 for it and its yours, as it was taking up space and was useless to him...loaded it in my trunk and drove away happier than a little kid on christmas

I'd give the heads a once-over before just bolting them on. Check the valves, the seats, the guides and seals, the flatness, oil galleries (for metal) etc...

Engines end up "laying around" someone's shop and being let-go for a song because there's something wrong with them. Not always, most mostly...

I looked them over of course, they are in good condition, but im still going to take them to a machine shop to get them cleaned up and polished real nice.

pull the cam caps and check cam and cap for scoring due to lack of oil, also have your stem seals replaced
