i have a 96 gt it has the romeo motor and i just bought windsor pi heads, cams, valve covers, and pi intake, what parts do i need to finish the job such as gaskets, heater tube, etc. i want to put this in my car asap but want to have all the parts i need to do the job, thanks

youll need the front timing cover for the windsor motor because the 2 are different (some of the bolt hole locations are different), also grab the accessory drive for that cover (idler pullys and tensioner, your a/c, p/s pump, and alt will work the same youll need the alt bracket for the pi intake). in addition with NEW head bolts, since youre there new timing chain set and guides would be an excellent time to do this.

I don't think you need the timing cover but you will need the timing cover gaskets, valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, head bolts, head gaskets, p.I. alternater bracket, exhaust mani gaskets. And the heater line under the intake. Fast97 said if you have the money do the timing chains and guides while its apart. Most important is to get it tuned asap

Yea the difference in the remeo and the windsor heads are where the cover bolts to them, you need head gaskets, valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, t-stat O ring. Oh and you need the windsor valve covers also.

Here's a list of stuff I needed to do my head swap many years ago:

PI heads
Intake Manifold (with aluminum coolant crossover)
Head Gaskets
Intake Manifold Gaskets
Exhaust Gaskets
TTY Head Bolts
Heater Transfer Tube
Oil Dipstick Tube

Also, the coolant crossover should be drilled and tapped for the temperature sensor.

ok thanx all, i have the valve covers and pi intake, i heard i can use my aluminum crossover off my non pi intake and put it on my pi so that i dont need to drill and tap a new hole for my sensor, is this true? also do i get windsor or romeo head gaskets, sorry if i sound dumb but this is all new to me, thanks for all the help, flatbil

Yeah you can swap your aluminum crossover.. that's what I did

even if you changed blocks you dont need a new timing cover, ford made sure the blocks were prepped for hole locations the same for interchangeability, the heads however they were limited to how much free run they had in production. get the cover and be safe, again ill say i just did this swap a few months ago on a remeo block using windsor heads and had to have the windsor cover
