Well Guys and Gals,
I now have my 71 Mach 1 in the body shop getting all the dents taken out as well as getting the cowl repaired from rust. I am trying to come up with a color combination to paint it. Any pictures or insight would be appreciated. I have a couple of weeks before the shop sprays the color/colors. Thanks in advance
Kerry

This is my favorite color combo.I think the color is Electric Blue.

I'm getting mine painted soon as well but I'm going to stick with the stock color combo of silver and black.

i believe you mean Blue Glow, that is if you're referring to a stock mustang color.

I was wrong with Electric Blue, that was a bad guess. I think it might be Acapulco Blue, here is a color chart for 1971. Either way it's a great color whatever it is.

that's an odd chart for a 71 model. they changed the names of all the colors in 71 and acapulco blue wasn't even on that list but it shows up on that chart, weird.

or maybe i'm mistaken and it was 72 when they changed the color names, either way that car is NOT acapulco blue. my car is acapulco blue and it's not that color.

i still think that color is actually Blue Glow. or it could be the Electric Blue from a 90's jeep or dodge product.

You might be right about the '72 colors

I went to the site where I found the pic and there is no info about the color other than the picture was taken in Spain. Might be a repaint.

It's only a euro color it it's a repaint. The note said the car was from the US. If you can figure out what it is for sure I want to know too.

Grabber Orange

I am leaning toward the Newer Ford Grabber Orange with Black on the hood and the lower body area. What do you Guys think? Kerry

That is not a bad combo on these cars. I saw an ebay auction yesterday where somebody had that exact same combo (it's over or I would have put a link). The guy even had a modified '70 Boss 302 type of stripe on it.

I don't think that's World Rally Blue (Subaru), it's not quite as dark as WRB.

Grabber Orange (either the original color, or the new version) with black accents would look good. A friend of mine as a grabber orange 07 with black hood stripes, looks really nice.

I was going to vote for Grabber Green though . If we weren't building Eleanor, it would have been a serious contender-along with semi gloss black (.alomst a satin finish) We sprayed the rear with it, and it's a sexy look for the big bodies....

These are all 73, but similar enough. FWIW, mine is 1999 honda racing blue.
