Guess it is time to move from the previous forums to this one since we traded the '00 Vert for this one. What a difference........

And yes, the black will be a pain but it is sooooo nice.

Nice ride. Big difference betwen the '00 and the '07 huh? I had a '00 coupe and I noticed a huge difference. Get a custom tune and you won't believe the difference it makes for your auto!

Congrats on the 07, what a great looking pair of Stangs to have in the stables. Any plans yet for a photo shoot with them together?

Welcome to the black 'stang club. It's more than a pain, it's a nightmare to upkeep. But it shure is purdy!

Thanks all. Will have to get them together a bit later for pictures. There is a big difference in the '07 as compared to the '00. Not only power but ride comfort and handling. I am getting all the right stuff to keep the black clean. Had a few black vehicles in the past and it is just a way of life now. Will be getting a chip and tune later. Still have to deal with the follow ups since my wife had both knees replaced last week so money is on hold at the present time.

No chip replacement in the new cars. Hand held tuner is all that is needed and only takes a matter of minutes from the comfort of the driver seat

Black looks so good clean, but give it a couple thousand miles, and you'll hate yourself for getting a black car... I know I do. Paint chips from rocks and other road debris show up like a sore thumb.

Well, it's not the first black vehicle we have owned. Try owning a black 4X4 and actually going out in the desert every weekend with it. Keeping the car nice is one thing, but also, it is the family ride so I expect some problems but not from abusing it either. Either way, we are very pleased with the car and its performance at this point. From other posts of yours, it sounds like you have had more than just "color" problems and it all adds together as a bad experience for you. Better luck with your next ride.
