Hey Guys,

Well in the last thread I got the usual:

lol

So here are the pics of my high mileage stock 90 GT Vert. It needs a new top, has 160k on the engine and the original owner say it has the STOCK clutch - like never changed. Only things that were touched on this car besides oil changes and air filters was the Alternator. That went out on him.

The car needs a new top, and a new rear shock but I got the car for 2 grand. Runs great, but blows a little smoke a high rpm's.

Oh ya, and a question - what gearing do you think is in the car if your at 1900-2000 rpm's at 70Mph on the freeway.

I know thats not the 2.73:1, i was guess 3.08 or 3.27's

What do you think

Great score . That looks like it was a well cared for car. Is it a west coast car? I like the color combo, classic.

Thanks guys!

Yup its a west coast car, I have NEVER like white tops, but the red with the white top looks great. So when i get the top replaced in the next week or two im gonna leave it white, and keep the interior the same.

Im gonna yank the motor out in a couple of weeks and rebuild it myself, just so I can cruise while i build the 400+ cube dart stroker for it

check your door tag and see what the code is under "AX"

M = 2.73
Z = 3.08
E = 3.27

since its a 5-speed, it wont have 3.27's. Based on your RPM at 70, its probably 2.73's

Nice find Good luck with it...i just got my 93 vert today....My AX code on my door is 'E' but mine is an auto...I was told in an automatic convertible they only came with either 2.73's of 3.27's so by the chart above i have 3.27's i guess....
