does anyone have a pic of the top of a 98 piston either out of motor or in the block still? Everyone saying they are less dished then the 02 piston but tech data saying different.

I know 96 97 have no dish flat pistons not sure if the 98 have dish like the 99+ Stangs do. The flat pistons add more compression to the engine. which is good N/A bad Blown.

I thought the NPI engines had a dish of around 11-cc while the PI engines had a larger 17-cc (give or take) dish. I don't think any modular ever had flat-tops from the factory.

Or did they?

There all dished, 11cc for the NPI's, 17cc for PI's. here is a pic of my 98 (in block)
