In '98 my friend had em on an '83 ranger. It was also white.I had Weld's on my 87 vert back in the 90's. I think they are timeless but yes they are on many, many cars
Nature of the beast kinda I think there Ole Mike. The fox mustang is sorta the "poor mans" muscle car these days. Not solely I know, there are a few lets blow $40k on a fox guys out there but I'd be willing to bet the majority are weekend warrior mechanics on a budget type. Especially the 30 something's who are starting families and trying to balance diaper and cold air intake money. Hence the bagillion enquiries about cost friendly aftermarket and or factory "upgrade" items.

I'm in my late 30's, have 3 kids, wrench in my spare time (naps and after bed time) and of course with having a house takes priority as well as the kids so the Mustang becomes tight on budget and have to shop smart. Just had to repair and clean my chimney, that's $500 less for diapers, food and Mustang parts for me bro!
As far as other posts I see I'm tired of people always whining about how all Mustangs look the same, wheels are played out, this and that is too popular and wanting something different. Go buy a Camaro or a Toyota and be "different". You can only do a Fox so many different ways before looking like a 1,000 others (based on what you see on the internet). Even the people that convert to 5 lugs still only have so many favorable choices before starting to look the same as all the other converts. Build your Mustang the way you want and stop looking to see what everyone else is doing because no matter what you think you most likely are not original.

Weld draglites are one step above Centerline auto/drags, and they are one step above an aluminum mini spare in the grand scheme of things.
Just because the car is a product of the 80's doesn't mean it has to be dressed like it.

I don't so much mind the look, i just think it's kinda silly to drive around with no rubber on the front end of the car.
Besides with drag radials being as good as they are people run 10's even faster with full size front wheels so i don't see the point.

I definitely would not run the skinnies on the street. It's already hairy enough stopping with the stock brakes. I like the discussion here guys, keep it up.

Welds aren't really that valuable, at that price not enough so to flip them.
IMO, the money would be better spent on another set of rear rims that match your fronts (didn't see what you have) then put drag radials on them.
You can use them on the street, track and even just drive the car to the track on them.

So I slightly disagree that they couldn't be flipped for a profit. I think there is a couple bucks to be had, but for me it wouldn't be enough to go through the trouble. Used tires are a buyers market, from a sales standpoint with wheels they aren't worth much. Nobody wants to drag them to a tire place have them unmounted and sell them separate. It's like any other package deal, instead of buying 4 things, you are buying 8, so you get a deep discount.
As i've aged i've grown intolerant to ebay and craigslist tire kickers. Maybe i watch too much pawn stars and pickers, because doubling my money on a flip of this low of value is where i would be to make it worth my time, anything less would just be a PITA.
