pilot bearing

Is a pilot bearing something that is relatively easy to fix for a guy that has only done brakes and such? I have a '98 5spd 3.8.

Well, you have to pull the tranny. While you're in there, you might as well do the clutch too. It's not a brake job, but it's not the end of the world for a home mechanic.
