pin 30 on computer 89LX

So if I am going to ground pin 30 on my computer is it safe to just strip back some wire on the wire comeing off pin 30 and connct a ground wire there or should I use a paperclip and put wire on it and shove the paperclip into the back of the harness on pin 30? Also is the harness numbered or does anyone know what color wire is on pin 30? 89LX /A9L

You will get better results if you append your questions to your first post. PM Daggar (forum admin) and ask him to merge these two posts.

Use a safety pin or paper clip since this is a temporary connection. The pin 30 wire is pink/yellow on 89-90 model cars, and lt blue/yellow on 91-93 models.

if this is ever something that you would need to do again, I would personally put a t-tap connector on the wire then crimp a spade onto a piece of wire with a stripped end and keep in the the glove box.

you'll have a great connection and an easy way to ground it again.
