i posted this on corral.net as well, just thought it would be good to post here too:

hey all, whenver i mash down the throttle on my 95 GT in third gear i start to get some pinging after 3400 rpms. sometimes it does it in the higher rpms of 4th as well...it does all this after the car has been warmed up for a bit. the car is stock, wondering what to do to get rid of it, im planning on getting a vortech and i want this to not be a problem. its cool if i have to back the timing off for a bit now, once i get the blower ill get larger injectors and a good dyno tune so it wont matter. i also havent done a tuneup in a bit, maybe newer plugs/wires/cap/rotor will help. tell me all what you think, thanks!

Does the car run fine? you may have some spark rattle. As for the tune up, it never hurts

Probaly your timing, its probaly advanced too for (14*) and your running low grade gas. If you run higher octaine gas im sure it will fix the problem or just drop your timing down to around 12*
