Time to move on to my next mod I'm thinking about a Catted H-pipe, since I'm in Mass, will it pass inspection ?? Anyways I have searched the site a while and havent really found out the exact info I'm looking for.

1. Is there a catted H-pipe that will fit the stock exhaust, if so what sites can I find them.

2. What are the top pipes and what sensors will I need for the job.

3. How is the catted h-pipe going to sound with my flowmaster 40's welded in, I know its going to sound like a muscle car but is it going to be annoying and something I will get sick of or what.

Thank you guys for helping me out!

1. There are multiple catted h-pipes on the market that will fit your stock catback and stock headers. I believe all the major companies make them. Major companies include SLP, Magnaflow, Borla, Bassani, Mac, BBK, UPR, Steeda, etc. Just check around and see what you can find. Here are some links that may help.

2. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the "top pipes" but if you mean top selling, probably those from the companies I mentioned above. As for what sensors you'll need for the job, the answer is probably none. Should hook right up to the sensors you've got if its mean to fit the stock headers and stock cat-back.

3. This is a question of opinion. You need to listen to some sound clips. I don't know any links to soundclips but if you check around, I'm sure you can find some on here or someone else will hopefully post a link. A catted aftermarket h-pipe with flowmasters should sound rumbly and like the typical muscle car should sound. I dont see why you would dislike the sound.

Wow. Thanks for all of your helpful info! I appreciate you taking the time to respond and help me out . Thanks for all of the links too. What I meant by top pipes is what were the top selling. Do I have to get the sensor extensions?

Thanks again. I would like to hear other opinions too on this subject, if possible.

Love my MRT catted H to bits. It fit the factory catback fine and also fits my Steeda fine as well. Good sound, perhaps half the weight of the factory H and in my case, it passed a sniffer emissions test last fall with no problems. No, you don't need sensor extensions or anything else really...just transfer the O2 sensors from the factory H to the new one. The bungs are in about the same spots.

It was also worth 8rwHP and 6ft-lbs with the factory catback.

Hopefully this works...it's an idle/rev/driveway MP3 clip of my car with the Steeda catback and MRT H. The Steeda ain't Flows but it'll give you an idea:
