I have used two sets of TRW L2482F forged pistons. One set was installed in 87 and has 95k street miles and is still in the 82, with a number of passes .and some nitrous. The other set is in my 79 Capri good with maybe 10k miles.
The valve reliefs in these clear the stock head valves, and the iron GT 40 valves. They did not clear the 2.02 intakes in AFR185 heads and I had to enlarge them.
Best choice would be forged, imo
Hypers are cheaper but less durable and will work in your application but for the money/piece of mind I would go just forged.
