Pistons that have been cut for TW heads?

Well, MAYBE is the only answer anyone can give you since each engine is a little different and your choice of cam will have a large inpact. If the cam is mild then you will probably be alright. I used a shortblock with TW pistons in it and stuck some stock heads on it and with the mild cam it was OK....I know because I checked for intereference. I always check vavle clearance on any engine I build even if I know all the parts fit. You are going to have to mock it up and check to be certain....PERIOD.

Shane, so buy the TW heads for the correct pistons.

I'm with Ron, I ALWAYS clay the piston top for clearance.

I use a used head gasket also but on my race motor, I think we just sat the heads on it, put a couple of bolts hand tight and clayed it that way, but that's been 10 years ago that we originally checked it and I can't quite remember. Since then we've just put new head gaskets on it.
