Placed My Order Today!

I went to the Dealer today and placed my order for an 05 Mustang GT! I was planning on waiting until mid January to order but the price increase and the need for a GT was just too much. I've been driving the wifes WRX and it's becoming a hassle with just one car. So I took the plunge and im in no hurry, the dealer said 8-10 weeks and also said Ford is having a shutdown for the holidays. I have no problem with that, anyway here is what I ordered......

05 GT Premium/Manual Trans
Legend Lime/Dark Charcoal Int
IUP/Spoiler Delete
Alarm upgrade
Wheel Upgrade

This color Legend Lime is a strange color, the more I see it the more I like it.
It's a kind of love it or hate it color and you have to see it in person to truely appreciate it. The first time I saw it I knew it was the one, my second choice was Windveil Blue. Now the wait begins!.........

Yes I have that. What I don't have is the dora, they are going to call me when it is ready? I ordered on Black Friday and it was vey busy, hopefully they will enter it into the system the same day. I will call on Monday and make sure this is done. $500 below MSRP is what we agreeded on, that is as low as I could get them. And as of 01/03/05 the insentives from Ford change on this vehicle, and I also have included in the paperwork that all new incentives will apply to this order at time of delivery. All I can do is hope for the best and wait and see.

Did you apply the AHQA $500 membership discount?
From my understanding, the dealer will have the DORA the next morning after THEY oprder the car

What is DORA?

Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement (DORA)
The factory sends the dealer to confirm a order., usuallt the morning after the dealer actuallly placed the order. You have to ask the dealer for it. Get it to confirm the correct car/options etc...are what you want.

It will tell you Dealer#, order # , Priority Code, and your name.

No AQHA was not involed as im not a member. I bargained on my own and I feel they could have given me a better deal, I wanted $1,000 off but they wouldn't go that low so we finally settled on 500. All the previous on the lot sales were at MSRP and no additional mark up. I guess they are willing to bargain a little on an order. I am happy with what I got and will be a lot happier when I get my DORA.
