whenever i wash or wax my car i always manage to f'k up a towel or two because i rub up against my plastic weatherstripping and it comes off as black streaks on the towels.

is there a way to refinish this weatherstripping/trim so that no more black stuff comes off onto my towels?

the weatherstripping/trim is in great condition other than that. none of it is cracked or peeling.

try some 303 protectant or armoral..... they both have UV block so the
paint wont oxidize as fast.

im looking to try to remove the oxidation so that whenever i rub against it, it wont come off on my towels. it destroys all my microfiber towels and wax applicators.

if you know of a place where i can get replacement belt moulding for cheap i can just replace it.

50resto.com got some door belts from there- pretty cheap if i remember correctly
they have a 14 dollar flat rate shipping, i think, so stock up on some other parts as well.
