Starting little while ago my clutch would get an inch or 2 of play at the top part of its travel. Like its loose for the first 2 inches when I go to press it down. This would make me put it all the way to the floor to shift, and its notchy and sometimes takes some muscle to get it into gear. It still grabs fine, does not slip at all. Now every once in a while I would play with it and it would go back to normal (no play and it went into gear with ease), but not so much lately, its still got that play. Sometimes I'll get in the car and its fine, but then it goes back to being muffed up for what seems to be no reason. There is no method to its madness. What is going on here?

I have been having a clicking/squealing from what I think is my TB, but like I said, it the clutch grabs fine.

do you have to stock quadrant on it? if so you can pull the pedal towards you and than push it all the way to the floor and it will adjust it for you. but if you do that and it doesnt work than you need an aftermarket quadrant and firewall adjuster. there should be a little free play at the top of the pedal like an inch or so.

many dial out all the freeplay (preloading the cable). quiets the TOB and allows for higher engagement. if my point of engagement was on the floor, i would dial in preload or atleast take out all slack.

good luck.
