Hey everyone i just have a quick tire size question.

I am looking at some cobra r wheels that are 17 x8 in the front and 17 x10.5 in the back. Will I have any problem with the fitment on my 2004 mustang gt? Also if someone could recommend a tire size.. im looking for a nice low profile tire. reasonable price, goodyear, BF, etc.

Thank you all I searched some but i need an answer fast

thanks again:hail2: :hail2:

i was thinking of maybe doing 18x9 (275-35 ZR18) in the front and 18x10.5 (295-35 ZR18) in the rear. I have no suspension mods. How do you think this will look, how would the stance change? just fill the wheel well more? pics would be cool too but watever you can get:D

thanks:hail2:

I think a 275 up front is really big. I would say go with some 255/35/18 and at most run 265/35/18. I have 18x9 Chrome Cobra R's up front and im running 245/40/18 and they look fine. I want to go a bit bigger in a few weeks but not too many companies have a 255/35/18, well atleast not the decently priced ones that also offer a 285/35/18

I have that same combo on my car, but the rears are 18x11. I have pics in my sig.

Oh and to the original poster, that will fit fine. I used to have 17x9 front and 17x10.5 rear with 275s and 315s and it fit with room to spare.

what size tires do you have with the 18's? front and rear

275's in front can rub sway bar and inner fender with hard cornering and 315's may not fit in back. It has alot to do with your exhaust. Im running 17x10.5 in back with 285/40's and they are pretty close to flush with the fender and I can barely squeeze my thumb between the tire and exhaust pipe. No way I could fit 315/35's without a little exhaust modding. May have to do with the Sportline springs. I would say, go with a 245 or 255/45 front and a 275 or 285/40 rear. a 275/40 wont screw up your speedo and a 285 is close enough. Also a 315/35 wont require speedo adjustments. :nice:

:stupid: 315's would probably fit, but it will be real close. Aside from that though, 315's are expensive! 255 front/285 rear is my vote.
