i installed a c&l cold air intake on my 05 stang. i am having serious problems. my car is stalling, i hit the gas and i go no where i need help everyting is installed correctly all sensors are pluged in and tight cant find any vaccum leaks . any ideas

did you install a tune as well, or just the CAI?

I managed to put the MAF sensor in backwards, the car would start but not run for very long.

That would be my guess.

Also, if you did install a tune/flash your computer, re-install the factory program and check. Maybe you have a bad tune?

^^^^^ I would say you got the maf in backwards. I've done that on other cars. It sounds like it just cannot read what air is coming through the intake and shuts down.. very common mishap on CAI installs.
