Hi, I got a pro msd distributor part 8579 as well as a 6a ignition box and a new blaster coil 8227. I had to order a new steel gear cause this one came with a cast gear. Just a little confused about the lack of tfi module, but have to admit I'm not positive about this upgrade and what I'm doing exactly. I can follow instructions.. but just want to make sure I have everything I need since I have to order the gear anyways.. I think I may as well check and make sure I won't need anything else to make this work. Have a 88 GT. The distributor basically plugs into the ignition box, and two wires go to the coil... from the box as well as positive bat, and ground wire. But basically other then that... does the TFI connector not get used? Sry just confused.. Was pretty sure a wire from the TFI module goes to the a9l computer.. ?? so just wondering if there is some sort of adapter I would need .. I know there is the one.. but I am comfortable with splicing and soldering.. Thanks.. any advice on parts needed.. or what I'm doing would be great!
