please help, car wont start

It started w/ a dead battery, my dumb friend jumped it but he had both the cables backwards(black/red). all I noticed was the leads got super hot, now when I start it it makes a different noice (allmost like a clicking). What is the problem now. thanks for any help.

Clicking ? Not turning over?? Bat doesent have enought power..

Are you still trying to jump it and it won't start? Make sure the cables are getting good contact. Let the other car run for a while to give you batt some more starting power.

ok, i got the car started, but the battery wont hold power. Took it to the shop and they found a rusted bolt, replaced it and seems to work fine now. How ever my radio/cd player wont turn on. did I fry it or is there a theft type device where I need to get a code from the dealer?

Might check fuses, and if that doesn't work, maybe reset computer
