i was at the track and went to shift into 4th and clutch pedal goes straight to the floor. car wont go into gear. then drive the car home without using the clutch. car makes funning squeaking noise when the clutch isnt engaged. then if i slam down on the clutch pedal the clutch engages. and can drive like normal. car sit overnight and go to drive it down the street. squeeling goes away. all of a sudden car wont move until the very top on the pedal than slips like crazy. any ideas?

maybe your clutch cable is going out and/or stretching?

I would guess it is the TOB.

it could be a few things, but it sounds like either the throw out bearing, or the clutch fork where it meets the throw out bearing since it catches when you slam on the pedal it seems like either one of the two are not ligning up correctly.it could also be the cable, or maybe the self adjusting stock quad if you still have that... that might be broken/ slipping/ catching at wierd times to cause the clutch to slip and/ or never disengage... those pieces are known to break at the track all the time

did that fix the problem? if you havnt installed the t/o bearing yet, i think ive heard that ford makes the best t/o bearing and others have a tendancy to squeek... but dont quote me on that, maybe others can chime in on that
