Thanks for the help... I tested it with my tongue and it burnt the ****zat out of me... Now I have two big burns on my tongue and it feels great... Is there any other ways to test to with my DMM to see if my cap is working properly?

Why do you need a dmm?

You don't test a cap with a DMM. You put it on your head. If it keeps the sun/rain off your head it works. Performance of most caps CAN be improved however by tweaking the adhesion between rim and skull by using the performance adjuster present on the rear of most caps. These adjusters are usually either a polymer friction fit (plastic snap), or a hook/loop system (velcro)...

Enough funny business.

with the ignition off, measure the dc voltage across the outputs of your cap(acitor). That'll tell you if it's holding a charge or not. It should be around 12 volts.

Thank you for posting a serious reply... And ok i took my cap out of my car. It is only holding a 8 volt charge... Does that mean the cap is dead, or can I discharge the cap somehow and recharge it?
