Be sure each pair you're installing has the lifters on the base circle of the cam. Tighten the rocker until there is zero lash - til it just reaches no gap on the pushrod or valve stem side. From that point turn the nut another 1/2 to 3/4 turns, and then set the allen lock nut. Rotate the engine so the next pair is on the base circle of the cam - and repeat. If you follow the firing order, you'll minimize the amount of hand turning of the engine you have to do.
