(I figured this would get more replies in Tech then Talk)
Hey, I had my starter off the other day to replace it (Not that replacing it actually did anything, but it was worth a shot I figured, it was old) and I took down the block Numbers. I know that the engine in my 66 coupe isnt original, but It would be nice to know more specificly what engine was in it. (Specially since the previous owner was rather vague about what kind he replaced it with)

The Numbers/Letters were:
6A21
0C5AE-6015E

Can someone tell me what that means? Or better yet, point me in the direction of a web site with that kind of information, so that I can archive it for later use?

Thanks Alot

Its a 1965 289 from a galaxie produced in the cleveland plant. c is the decade 1960, 5 is the year ie 1965 A is for the galaxie, E is the engine dep. the last 4 numbers + letter mean its a 289 2v, 4v, or hipo from 1965 and the cleveland plant. And the DA21 meen its date is a 1966 january 21st.
