Ok my car wont start. Tried jumping it, didn't work. Battery has full charge. When I turn the key I hear a single click and thats it. I was told the starter soleniod is bad. Any other ideas what might be wrong before I jack up the car? My car is in the street next to a curb, any easy ways to jack it up also? I am stuck working on this by self. Thanks

Make sure your battery posts are clean.

They are, first thing I checked. I don't know if this matters, but all the accessories, lights and stereo all work fine.

Oh by the way when I went to check it in the morning, the battery had lost some charge. Bad ground wire maybe? I need help soon before it starts raining and I can't work on it anymore.

I never replaced the started solenoid on my 95, is it located on the starter itself?

I would say it is the starter solenoid or it is not getting a good enough ground.

The solenoid is on top of the starter. How would I check to see if its getting a good enough ground?

Maybe it is stuck. Get under there and whack at it with a wrench and then try.

Hmmm, I actually have heard that before about older cars. Have to try it when it stops raining, might as well can't do any damage to it if its already broken. I just don't understand how I have been driving and starting up fine all day and then when I let it sit for 15 minutes when I go in a store it wont start.

Damn rain. I'm down in Wichita and were getting a little down here to. I used to live close to your neck of the woods, I actually bought my car from a guy in Overland Park, gotta love KC!

Anyway, I don't really ahve anything helpful to add, just thought I say whats up to a fellow Kansas stanger.

it is probably your ignition module, its a little plastic piece, i know on fox bodys its right on the distributor but i dont think its in the same place on 94-95. but that is what it was on my friends car an he had the same symptoms your car does
