Hi guys, Im hoping someone on here can help me out. We have an unusual build here and im trying to figure out how to make the fuel system work. So here are the specifics. My boss has his late fathers car which is a 1983 Lincoln mark IV and wanted to modernize it. We took a donor 2016 mustang 5.0 that was wrecked and plucked the drive train out of it along with the complete firewall and front half of the cars suspension, unibody as well as the dash, center console etc. and all the full body wiring from the mustang and fabricated it into the lincoln. So far i have got everything to work but now i am stuck on the fuel delivery for this to be compatible with the mustangs dash and computers. i know that the mustangs fuel system was a return less fuel system, the problem im running into is that i cant incorporate the fuel tank from the mustang into the lincoln and i need to use the lincolns fuel tank but i realize that the mustangs fuel pump inside its fuel tank is controlled by the transducer sensor, fuel pump driver module, controlled by the pcm. being that we utilized the complete car wiring harness, im trying to keep it a plug and play system with the mustangs original wiring. Also i want to add that there is no add ons to this motor, it is bone stock from the donor mustang nor are we planning on any power adders. I cant seem to find any info on wiring harness's or anything where i can make this a stand alone fuel system and eliminate the need for the pcm to control the fuel pump but still be compatible with the mustangs dash and wiring for the fuel level gauge to work being that we are using the dash out of the mustang. So i guess what I am saying here is, i can definitely build a stand alone fuel system for this to work but i need the dash cluster to still monitor the fuel level. I am guessing that i will need to have the pcm reflashed so that the stock fuel system is no longer used. I am open to any alternatives if anyone of you guys have any. I have yet to find someone do a coyote swap along with most of the cars components like we have done here and I am hoping someone who reads this has done just that and can help us out. thank you in advance.
