please help!!!! (shifter question)

I'm trading in my car today and I want to stick the stock shifter in and take my MGW out. The car I'm buying is an hour drive away. So, with the car in neutral. Screw the shift knob off..pop the console piece out, take it and the boot off. Unbolt the 4 bolts, angle a block of wood against the base and hit with a rubber hammer until it pops out. Pull it out, put the stocker in..put in the four bolts..boot back on..console back on..screw in the shift knob. Am I missing anything?

Nope, that's it - except add some RTV to the seal - but, heck, if you are trading it in, who cares...!

I skipped the RTV sealant because I don't have any here at my house and I don't have time to buy any tomorrow.

well, i was going to trade it in for an 04 Mach 1. but I just called them and they sold it last night. :crying:
