Please help w/Cruise Control

I could have sworn that when I bought my stang that the cruise control disengaged upon putting in the clutch. Now it just revs up when I hit the clutch. I took it to the dealer and they checked some wiring diagram and state that it's not suppose to disengage with the clutch. I didn't buy it, and didn't think to look in my owner's manual until after I got home. Page 47 clearly states that 2 of the ways to disengage the CC is to tap on the brake or the clutch. Surely this is a safety feature that Ford did not leave out.
What can I tell the dealer when I take it back, short of, what are you an idiot? Any technical feedback you can give me to give them would be appreciated.

Yup....it disengages with the brake and the off button....just doesn't do it with the the clutch...I guess i could take it to another dealer and let them get the $$ on the warranty work. Although taking it back to the original dealer might be a little more satisfying, especially when I show them the manual and when they finally realize that they're WRONG.
