Please Help!!!!!!!

I have Bassani long tubes with a Bassani 3" X-pipe. Someone told me that a 3# Mac catback would work with the Bassani X-pipe. I emailed Bassani and there telling me it will NOT. Has anyone tried this? If it will not bolt right up is it close enough to do slight mods to make it work? Someone please help!!!
P.S. I don't want to buy the Bassani 700$ plus catback.

what kind of cat back is on there now?? is the bassani x pipe on there now?? did they say it will work with the stock cat back or are they telling you that it will only work with the bassini cat back. I have the 3" mac cat back with a bbk 2 1/2"shortie h pipe with bbk long tubes it fits fine(the mac 3" cat back comes with spacers to fit the smaller ball and socket). As a matter of fact I actually got it to fit around my panhard bar and torque arm set up, I attribute thiss to the fact that it has the second adjustment point. If the 3" bassani xpipe has the same style ball and socket connections it will work. chris

As of now, there is no exhaust on it at all. I emailed Basanni and asked told them that I had there long tubes and X-pipe for my 93lx and was wondering if there was anyother companys, preferabbly Mac, that would work using there cat back. They said no, only there's will work.

interesting what other large tuner shops sell their stuff, you might want to call them also and see. that sounds kinda weird what do the ends of the bassani x pipe look like ( the end that will hook up to the cat back) Are they ball and socket?? I be willing they are ball and socket just the larger ball if that is the case it will probably work. heres an idea do you have the old cat back? if you do you could try to hook the end of the cat back to the x pipe and see if it is a connection thing.chris

I stated they fit, when we put them on a buddies 93 vert. I have them in my garage now. We took the set-up off his car since he didn't like the way the Bassini's headers sat lower on one side. (for an AOD) He swapped to Mac 1 3/4 long tubes with 3" DR Gas X-pipe, with Dynomax Ultra flows with the Mac 3" tail pipes..E-mail me for pictures of the mufflers and flow tubes. If that will help you any....

ride 410 with the x pipe and old cat back out of the car try to connect them just to see the difference in the connections, as I stated the 3" mac catback will not fit the stock hpipe without the added spacers because it is too big. but it is the same ball and socket style connection. if the stock catback does not fit cuz it is too small then it should work without the spacers. if it fits then you will need the spacers when you do the bassani xpipe to mac catback. chris
