I have a 2000 Mustang 3.8 V6. I've had a problem with it missing and sounding like there's a vacuum hose connected wrong. This has been going on for 6 months. The shop says fuel injector number 5 is bad. But the code scanner says crankshaft position sensor today. Two days ago scanner tool said camshaft sensor. And still the shop says it's fuel injector. I'm just trying not to get screwed over anymore on mechanic work. Any thoughts? HELP!!!

IF you want good help it's a good idea to always post the full list of DTC codes. There are 1,000's of them and they each have a story to tell.

BUT....Sometimes a cam related DTC code can be CAUSED by a bad alternator diode. Here's more information.
