Okay, I'm looking for 300HP, any estimates on this configuration: Cobra upper and lower intake, 24# injectors (do I need a bigger fuel pump? I should probably go with a adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, right? Aeromotive good?) 70mm Throttle Body, 70mm EGR Spacer, 70mm Cobra MAF, Underdrive pulleys, 3G 160 Amp, (do I need an electric fan?) MSD 6AL ignition, MSD Blaster Coil, Bosh plugs/wiring (is a different distributor necessary, or should my stock one hold up? If so, what about just an MSD cap?), BBK intake, MAC longtubes, MAC offroad X pipe, flowmaster cat-back exhaust. 3.55 gears as well...
Right now I have a very small head gasket leak, so I'd replace that as well...
This is goin' on my 88 Vert (subframe connectors will be on)

That should get me 300HP right? Sorry to ask this, I know it's a freqent topic, but I wanna get my excel spreadsheet done so I can start checking off the parts (to make me feel that much closer to my goal)

Thanks agian for all your help, you guys rock!

(PS: if your rock/blues fans, check out the band Tony C. and the Truth, their first single is called "A Little Bit More" they're quite good!)

No way thats 300 hp, more like ~230 to the wheels, gonna need some good flowing aluminum heads to get you close to that N/A

Such as? Cobra intakes are rated to 400 RWHP, if I remember correctly, which I often don't... but constructive criticism is welcome...

I say Thumper heads or AFR 165 maybe even so holley heads, not to mention you might need a cam something mild like a B or E-303, trickflow stage 1 cam, crane or a custom cam.

Trick Flow twisted wedges are also a good head, you can usually pick them up fairly cheap too. A friend of mine just got a set for $995 or somewhere around there, on sale. A better flowing intake to go with them would help also, along with a cam as stated above.

Yeah they are rated at 400 hp, however they probably the most restrictive of all aftermarket intakes, I think the 400 hp rating is just to say that thats the point where they really start to choke things up. I wasn't trying to be rude, sorry.

u can spend the cobra intake money amount on explorer intake(which is basicly the gt-40 (better then cobra i believe) and the gt-40p heads off an explorer, throw in a e303 cam, port and polish, and all the other stuff u listed and u should have close to 300hp if not more.

A friend of mine just had his car dyno'd, he has a GT40 intake, GT40 iorns, 1.7 RR's, and bolt ons and made 250.7 to the wheels, you could probaly make a bit more than that with a good tune but its still a ways from 300rwhp.

like i sort of said b4, y spend $650, about, on a gt-40 intake when the explorer intake is the same if not better and its only like $100 out of a junk yard......and the heads are only like $150-$200.

i used to have a 306, edelbrock performer intake, ported gt40 iron heads, motorsport b-303 cam, 1.72 roller rockers, 65mm throttle body, 24lb injectors, 75mm mass air meter, 1 5/8" equal length headers, off road h pipe, 2 chamber flow masters and it made about 335 flywheel horsepower.

you will definitely need heads and a cam (along with all the other parts) to reach 300hp at the flywheel, but honestly, it isn't very hard at all. any low end combo of h/i/c, exhaust, rockers, tb, mass air meter should put you right there at or near 300. the better your parts, the more power you will make.

i just got a set of built twisted wedge heads that flow as well as afr185s on intake but a lil less on exhaust for $800, 1.6 rockers for $100, and shipping was $40, so a total of $940. for my intake i have a track heat that will need to be port matched.

as for your cam:
