i'm pretty sure Ford never was gonna drop SVT all along. You can't just be going by what random websites say either. That's like going to the National Inquirer and reading about alien babies and thinking it's true. Why would Ford get rid of one of their best selling, highest resale and best performance cars?

I wish they were smarter

That was my logic too, but think of all the really dumb things large auto maufactures have done over the years, c-clip retained axleshafts, that whole front wheel drive GM platform late 80's throw 90's, Bringing back the GTO, getting it 99.99% right, but the .01% that is wrong makes the car unsellable (make it look like a retarded family car), ford tryed to make the probe the new mustang (thank god that didn't happen), makeing the new charger not avaible with a 2 door (then you would even need the concept challenger, and you wouln't be flooding your own market), every single car in the 70's, GM buying Saab thinking they had anything of value or chips to contribute to their table, do I really need to go on? The reason the american auto manufactures are where they are today is not one bad break, tons of tons of poor decistions compiled on top of one another. They have no one to blame but themselfs.

SVT is dead. Call their toll free number and listen to how they answer it, "Ford Racing".

The only reason there's any SVT markings on the new Shelby is because it was too late to change the tooling.

SVT is dead... all that remains is an official burial.

would that mean that all GT's will be as powerful as a Cobra would be? Or have different engine options, etc.
Gotta wonder because after having 3 Cobras, I'd never own a GT again. Better sell this 01 in 2 years and get try and find an original owner 04 cobra.

i think SVT as it's own entity within Ford is dead, however, i bet Ford will continue to "brand" the top performance versions of their cars as SVT.
