Pleez help, Sony X-Plode, no sound..

I recently bought a car with the above stereo. It has the face that flips down for the cd. I put in a cd and flipped up mthe face. Now, no sound. Ive pushed every button on the front and all the other stupid things I probably shouldnt do ecxept for beating on it.
Any ideas out there? It plays, as the tuner has the eq bars going up and down etc., and the cd player plays. Just no sound.

+1. Did it have Mach 460 before? Did they replace everything with aftermarket? Was the radio playing when you test drove it before you bought it? Inquring minds want to know!
