Wifey wants to buy me a nice gift, so I'm thinking throttle body and plenum. Is this worth the money. These are my mods on 03 GT, magnaflow x, flows. 4.10, intake, short throw shifter, pro-kit springs, and cc plates. Should I ask for the plenum and TB, every review I read, they love them. What do you guys think. I saw a product called Powerflow, anyone ever heard of this brand. They are sold by Blue Oval Products. Let me know what you guys think. Merry Christamas!

I haven't heard of them, but I don't spend much time reading about throttle body/plenum combo's since I read the Accufab reviews over at Modular Depot. Seems like of all the testing, and all the installs I've heard, the Accufab combo will net you the most gain.. and I can't even recall what it is offhand.

The problem I think is, it's like 500 bucks for the combo, and you only gain like 12hp (don't quote me on that.) Shrug.. power costs money I guess.

And just out of curiosity.. what's that magnaflow pipe sound like with the flows on?

I wanted a exotic sound. At about 4k rpm, I get it. It does sound good, but could be a little louder. The quality on that pipe though is really impressive. Thanx for your input on TB and plenum.

I don't suppose you have a video or an audio file you could post of it?

I have the Dragon combo which is a bit cheaper than the Accufab, I think I paid around $360. Didn't make a huge difference, but I'm very happy with it.

If the wifey is buying and doesn't really care about price, I hear the accufab combo is the best. It certainly looks the best if you like the bling polished look.

I've been looking into Plenum/TB combos...Seems like there is only a 2-3hp (at most) difference from the most expensive piece to the cheaper ones, which can be a difference of around $200...Guess it comes down to what you wanna pay vs how you want it to look under the hood
