I've got a 66 and I'm putting a 351W block in it with AFR 185 heads. I have a set of Hedmann 88660 engine swap headers for it. My question is, do I need straight boots or 45 degree boots where the wires attach to the plugs?

edit:

Will these work ok with tall valve covers?

danny,
I have those exact same wires. I'm not sure of the boots needed for your headers, but the wires are not long enough to go over any valve covers (short or tall) in the stock location. They need to be routed around the front like this:

I used a set of Moroso looms. Not a big selection of looms to fit 9mm wires unless you want to spend BIG $$. The Moroso's are a little cheesy/flimsy but work ok once you get them set.
Hope this helps,
Gene

I was just looking at the pictures on your thread. Your engine looks great.

I have my heads and headers so I think I'll bolt the headers on and see it the 45 degree boots will work. I like the way your wires are routed and think I'll do mine the same way.

I also have the same wires on my 68, with a 351w, and even the same headers, they fit fine.
