This is the 2nd time in 6 months that my #6 & 7 plugs were fouled, the rest were fine. One was dry and had alot carbon build up on it and the other had oil and soot all over it, you couldnt even see the gap. Could it be Bad rings?
It could be bad rings, but not as likley as the valve seals, which wear out faster usually. Do a compression test, maby even a leak-down test if you can. It is most likley the valve seals, which can be replace w/o removing the head. Also, do you get alot of oil in your pcv system?
May want to run a compression check on all cylinders and see if the suspect cylinders come up low. How many miles on the engine? Does it burn a fair amount of oil? Also, what kind of shape are your wires, and distributor's cap and rotor in? Just some things to look at.....
I just replaced wires, cap & rotor a week ago and the plugs were done 5 to 6 months ago. I noticed the car started running sluggish so I pulled plug 6 & 7 first cuz those were the culprits last time. My heads were replaced about 6 months ago as well. My stang has 162k and yes it uses about a quart a week.
