EDIT: After more conversation with Dawn of PMAS, I have come to the conclusion that more of this matter is the fault of CBP than it is of PMAS. After having slight issues with one another upon our first conversations, we seem to have hashed things out pretty well. It seems that we just had a major misunderstanding, largely due to CBP. While it is true that if you want a PMAS 80mm MAF you will have to wait a little bit for it, I'm sure in the end the product will be worth the wait. I'm sorry for some of my rash comments and attitudes towards PMAS, and I'm glad that I will have my product in a couple of days and that things have worked out.

I won't do that unless they deny me the right to pick up my part today... but thank you for the link. I just figured it would be best to get this message out there because I know how many of us on here buy their meters.

Isn't PMAS the new company that took over Pro-M? If it is, that really doesn't surprise me, I've heard the same people that worked at Pro-M work at this new company (If this is in fact the one I'm thinking of, vasically the new Pro-M), I personally have had horrible experiences with pro-m, but seem to be one of only a few, others will swear by Pro-M. Thats why I'm using the c&l now, but am in a jam because it wont bolt up to the bracket for the maf in the vortech kit. Good luck, sorry to hear about that.

What..... kind of business crap is that!!!? They have ignored you and yet have the balls to say it's now your fault that your part is going to be delayed even more.

STOP PAYMENT, asap!!!! thanks for the heads up, I was looking at their 3" MAF, but NO MORE! You should post this on other forums as well.

I got even worse this afternoon. I've been making phone calls back and forth between Cool Blue Performance and PMAS to get this crap straightened out. The dates have been pushed back and pushed back and pushed back. Two weeks ago they told me I would have my package. So I e-mailed them this past Monday (2 weeks) and asked them the status. I got an e-mail back that said they were getting them on Wednesday and that they would be shipping out as soon as they got them, and that they would send me an update the next day. Well Tuesday came and gone, and half of Wednesday did, so I e-mailed them again *this is pretty much where the story picks up above*. So after all this crap I decided that I was going to pick it up from their place of business today, since I only live a short distance away. I called them to let them know, but they didn't call me back before I left. I got there, had to wait a half hour for the new owner, Dawn, to get back from lunch. I waited in my car, and they pulled in. She got out, came up to my car, and asked in a slightly rude tune can I help you? I said that I was there to pick up my MAF. She got ruder and said excuse me, and I said the same thing again. She asked me my name, and I told her, and once she knew it was me it all went to hell. She said that she didn't appreciate my e-mail and that I was out of line. She also said they didn't even have them, and I asked her why she didn't e-mail me back or call me, she said sure I'll just go call all 500 of my back orders. I said you should start at the top of the list and go from there. She said I'm not talking with you anymore, walked away. I told her I was going to bring down the business, and peeled the hell out of there. Got a call from CBP an hour later and they told me that PMAS wasn't going to ship my order unless I called and appologized. I was outraged! So, I humbled myself (because I really do need this meter), called and appologized, and I will have my meter on Tuesday. If you ask me the business practices are poor, if you say you are going to e-mail someone tomorrow, you'd better freaking e-mail them tomorrow. Oh well, I guess I'm just venting now, sorry for such a long post.

NOTE: I am not sure of the order status of other meters besides the 80mm, but the 80mm is FOR SURE going to take at least 4 weeks to get to you.

Man, what's this chick's email address. I'll write her a less than friendly email after you get your part of of course, and then plaster this crap all over the place. It's no wonder they went out of business the first time, and if they have the same jackoffs working there now, it's only a matter of time before the go under again. I would post this on every forum that deals with car owners that could buy from them, and then send them copies of the links so they can watch their sales fall.

First, I have to say, my PMAS 80mm that I recieved last summer is great. I also had a little wait, about 2 1/2 weeks. It seems weird that they keep getting bad product from whomever supplies their parts, as that is the same issue I had to wait out. It seems that a company that is sorting out issues would start with what seems to be a big one. Any company that continues to due business with a supplier, who from the outside looking in, seems to continually delay production, will not last long.

With that said, I have absolutley no idea what the current situation is regarding PMAS and their suppliers. It just sucks that these things have to happen.

Now, I will say that your situation was handled completely wrong by both parties. I am by no means coming down on you like a concerned parent, and I was not there or in this situation with you. I just feel that the exchange you had with "Dawn" was wrong on both sides. I do feel that you have been very patient with them, and they should deff. get back to current customers when called or e-mailed several times. But from the sounds of things you are one of many eagerly awaiting 80mm users, and it would be completley impossible to contact every customer on every issue.

I hope this works out for the best. I feel that when you do finally recieve your MASS AIR meter, you will be pleased.

Whoa there fella. Step away form the keyboard.......Let's see how many people post on these forums that have had good results from them before we gas 'em up and burm 'em down. This is how internet bull**** get's started. One poster reads a post, then tells 10 friends, then.... and then....

There is no one company that can please everyone out there. It is unfortunate that the original poster has to deal with these issues, but let's be a little more realistic here. Maybe there is a ligitimate problem with PMAS's suppliers. Maybe they are in the process of sorting these issues out. But then again, maybe not. Who knows? All I can tell you, is thank GOD they are in business, or else we would all be stuck using C&L junk. Then we would have something to bitch about.

I most definately agree that I could have handled my end of the situation better, for sure. Also, I don't see you as coming down on me like a parent, I appreciate the input. I guess you'd have to be in my situation to understand why I did it. It's been 44 days now, they never contacted me to tell me what was going on, I had to take the initial steps, I'm near the very top of the list (I should, and so should have everyone else, been contacted), etc etc. I am also glad that they are in business, I'm not a very big fan of C&L either, but I spent so much time planning to have my car running, and I'm still stuck driving my winter 4 banger. Life isn't fair, I know that, don't tell me that. I'll just wait until Tuesday, thanks for the comments guys.

I just got my PMAS the other day. It took about 2 1/2 weeks to get. A little longer than I expected. The meter works great!! Much better than the C&L I had. Sorry for your situation, that sucks...

i'm sorry, but threatening not to ship an order unless he appologized is unprofessional and childish to say the least. at that point, the BBB would be getting involved. you gave your money for a product. sure there was a legit excuse, but to say they now wont ship it unless you say sorry? that's bull****. there's something in the business world called "customer service." i think they should look it up and practice it. it may be a new experience for them.

i know where i WON'T be ordering my MAF from...

I've always said this about this company. They suck, their customer service sucks. And why the hell would you buy a product from a company that has ALREADY gone under once? There's a REASON for that... and it's customer satisfaction, product quality, and reliability... In which they have none. It just sucks because they are one of the only MAF companies out there that doesn't use the stock electronics (like C&L). They'll go under again, just give it some time.

I'm sorry, I used to work in customer service and that is beyond poor business practice. If you are willing to give them money, they need to apologize to you for not delivering when they said they would.

If they don't want your business, they should cancel your order, refund your money and wish you a good life.

I would have cancelled, but don't know what meter you'd run if you don't like c&l. . I guess there's granetelli, they don't use stock electronics, I don't know if they are anyway affiliated with pro-m or pmas though.

I have been looking into buying one from my local speed shop. He told me he has been waiting on one he ordered for a customer for about a month now. What does that tell ya.

He said the one he wants to order for my set up will work really well so who knows what's gonna happen w/ that.

Im tired of this "C&L is garbage" crap. Plenty of people use it without any problems. I believe they had problems with their sampling tubes YEARS ago but have since corrected that.

Besides, Im sure ford put forth more money and research into their electronics than pro-m could ever afford. I dont see anything wrong with the electronics on my car.

If pro-m's business practices are this bad, then they dont deserve to be in business. I order my C&L meter and had it in just 3 days. Go figure, works with no problems too.

a company that refuses to ship based on the simple fact that you stuck up for yourself - wanting to see what was happening with your order is unreal. They have your money and at this point they stole that from you. Call the cops on them and bring some sort of a receipt when you call the cops, I bet they change their tune ASAP. Also if you paid by credit card call them right away and dispute the charge.

I appreciate the support fellas, but like I said I did what I 'had' to do in order to get my meter. I couldn't afford to take the action that I would have preferred to take. I also 'had' to say I was sorry because she said she wouldn't ship 1 single MAF even to my zip code! That means anyone in 48879 wouldn't have gotten a MAF unless they could have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that it wasn't for me. That's how bad this lady was. I hope some of you guys decide to choose different routes for a MAF company, as this has been the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. Maybe I'll leave them a flaming bag of poo at their front door AFTER I receive my meter... nah, but it sure is wishful thinking
