Heres my 2 cent take on it. If the part is backordered...why the **** were you charged for it! Sounds like Cool blue performance dropped the ball here. They are a drop ship dealer, they should know if a product is back ordered and should have let you know from the get go and not charged you until it was ready to ship. I mean, why the hell did you ask PMAS for a partial refund when you paid CBP??

I'm not defending PMAS, but back orders happen all the time.

I asked CBP for a partial refund, not PMAS. I agree, they shouldn't have charged me until it was almost or ready to ship. Don't ask me why I don't deserve at least a partial refund... I figure the difference between storage insurance and full coverage for the amount of time beyond the 14 days they say it will take to get to you was a fair amount to refund me. They, however, did not see it that way. Oh well, only 2 more days, and I'll post up more pics and maybe a vid of the first start!

I cannot believe that we are getting flamed for a backorder that has been on back order since Jan. The first batch we got of these were no good so we gave them back to the company we have pour them. I guess from reading this thread we should have sent them to everyone knowing we would get them back just to make everyone happy???? Well that is NOT the way we do business. We will not sacrifice quality for getting a quick dollar. We have a ton of these on backorder. There are 2 sides to every story. But I guess we messed up by sending the bad meters back to the mold company. Sorry for caring about QUALITY instead of getting paid. FYI we do not deal to the public that is why we have distributors. We also DON'T get paid until we ship, so I don't know why we are getting slammed for taking someone's money. Well that is all I have to say.

If you choose another company that is your choice. But you know Donovan this is not what truly happened.

It also was never threatened by us that we would not ship a meter.

Whoa there fella. Step away form the keyboard.......Let's see how many people post on these forums that have had good results from them before we gas 'em up and burm 'em down. This is how internet bull**** get's started. One poster reads a post, then tells 10 friends, then.... and then....

There is no one company that can please everyone out there. It is unfortunate that the original poster has to deal with these issues, but let's be a little more realistic here. Maybe there is a ligitimate problem with PMAS's suppliers. Maybe they are in the process of sorting these issues out. But then again, maybe not. Who knows? All I can tell you, is thank GOD they are in business, or else we would all be stuck using C&L junk. Then we would have something to bitch about.

Just to let everyone know we are not the old PRO-M. We have had problems with the molds we aquired from PRO-M. We have been fixing them. We truly apologize for the 80's that are on back order. We cannot help that, as I said in a previous post we decided from the beginning we would not sacrifice quality for money.

I will admit we have had some bumps this first year. Everyone fails to realize that we are a new business. We have rectified alot problems. Especially with the phone calls and other things. There were things we were doing that weren't working. We have rectified some of these issues and continue to work everyday to have things run smooth. We don't mind criticism, because that it what makes us better. That is all we really have to say about this matter. Thanks.

I can understand.. I waited a little longer than I thought I should, but I have to say it was worth it. The difference in drivability from the C&L I was using to your meter is night and day. You definately put out a quality product. I was impressed when I got it. It cured all my drivabilty problems.

No, you made a great choice by not sending out the molds that were suitable for use, no one would have expected you to make that kind of choice, that kind of choice would be poor. It is true, PMAS does not have my money, CBP does, and that money does not get transfered to PMAS until the order is ready to ship, I'm pretty sure someone clairified that in an earlier post as well. I chose PMAS simply for the reason that I knew that the meters were good, end of story. I feel that I made a fair representation of the story, I admitted my choices were wrong, I didn't sit here and flame unfairly, and I gave your meters credit where credit was due. However, a representative from CBP told me on the phone about the not to ship threat, that's not something I made up for the sake of a story, that's what was told to me. I was understanding in my waiting and I waited very patiently for a good while, and when I finally tried to find out what was going on it ended up hurting me more than just sitting and being quiet. If I have learned one thing from this, it's that you shouldn't ask a lot of questions and just wait in line.

Makes sense, but why not have your distributors adv customers of the wait, or even when emails were sent, why not respond to let the cust know? I know new companies are hard to get going and running smoothly, but still its kinda bad customer service. You should try to respond ( I know you have a huge cust base, but still), just my .02

We did. That is not the only email or conversation with Donovan that was sent back and forth. You are only seeing the final. And I actually emailed that email to Cool Blue and emailed a reply to him that I don't see posted in this thread.

I posted this on the corral:

How are we supposed to mass mail people that we don't have information for. We tell the distributors I cannot help that they don't inform thier customers. WE DO TELL THE DISTRIBUTORS AND HAVE BEEN GIVING THEM UPDATES I DON'T KNOW WHY I AM BEING TOLD I SHOULD HAVE EMAILED EVERYONE. How am I supposed to do this when I don't have customer information like that. I only get orders from Distributors not single customers. It is ashamed that certain Distributors have done this to us. But that is okay that will be rectified. Dawn

I don't even know where the 500 back order came from. That is how many we ordered to be poured.

This will be my last reply to this thread. I apologize to everyone that was done wrong. We will take the criticism and make changes accordingly. Thanks, Dawn.

looks like someone is trying to cover up the problem. If the product is backordered fine, but if they simply are not shipping due to someone's anger - well that is cause for calling the cops as they have stolen your money.

Dude, reread her post. They have been having problems with one of their suppliers. They contacted all of their distributors. I think the distributors are at fault because they dropped the ball, not PMAS.

Exactly!

This hasn't swayed my opinion of PMAS one bit, i'll still have one of their meters on my ride in the near future.

I really hope this doesn't sway anyones opinion on PMAS. They make a great product. I feel the best of the aftermarket. (Ford aside of course) I for one know their product was the answer for me. It solved my horrible idle issues due to my C&L.

It was very unfortunate that the original poster has had problems with PMAS. I just hate to see a company's reputation tarnished for incidents I feel were out of their hands.

Friday we picked up some of the meters. We worked around the clock all weekend to prep these. We have more showing up today. We have already shipped a bunch of meters out. We do fill these orders in order that they we were recieve by us. We are shipping meters everyday. The final meter including new orders is scheduled ship no later than 4-11-06. I will update everyone on here when all 80mm meters have left. Dawn

Also to those who have posted in our defense thanks for the support we appreciate it. Again we apologize for all the confusion and issues from this long back order. We have taken extra measures to make sure this should not happen again.

I hear ya there. I supervise at a factory, on second shift no less. It is really frustrating to try to get quality product out the door, while at the same time trying to hit any sort of routing to keep efficiencies any where near profitable. We get temps in from Kelly Services that are less then adequate. Don't they have to pass any sort of tests to work for Kelly's?
