I remember a thread on Stangnet a few months (probably years) ago that mentioned somebody taking a dremel tool and polishing their brake calipers to a somewhat glossy shine. Anyone have any pics on this topic or know the dremel attachment numbers I would need to buy?

Takes a lot of work and maintainence. Polished aluminum will oxidize over time.

These are what i originally had


But i painted them instead as i hated pulling the wheels every so often to clean them.



These are on my black '88 and not my '03

what would happen if you polished them and then put on a coat of clearcoat? a friend of mine bead blasted and clearcoated the transmission and rear diff cover on his celica gts and it looks awesome.

Heat tends to yellow clearcoat. I thougt the same thing back when mine were polished and asked around but the general consensus was that the clear would yellow on me.
