I've always known this filter as a Pollen filter, but I can't come up with anything when I do a search. Does the 99-04 Mustangs have this filter? If so where is it, or what is the part number to change it? My other cars have it, I am wondering if the stangs have it, because when I use the heater-a/c it doesnt' smell all that good, and its very humid when I use the heater.

Sorry dude our cars never ever had a pollen filter.

Just get some A/C cleaning spray at your local C-Tire/Partsource. I can't remember the brand name offhand but you spray it into your ducts and it kills the bacteria and crap that is causing the smell.

I did and came up with 4 results which weren't helpfull at all. Before every question I ask I do a search, and if I still have questions I start a new thread.

Well what was discussed was an powerful mildew killing aerosol spray that is sprayed into the weep hole under the car. There is actually a picture in the Haynes manual of it being sprayed but it is real hard to tell where from the pic. Also, the aerosol is kinda expensive.

Always leave your climate control set to something other than OFF to help avoid this problem.

i remember seeing some stuff called "fridgey fresh" at a few shops around here. i have the stuff in a spray bottle that you spray into your cowling and makes your car smell fresh.

i believe that the 05+ stangs might have a cabin air filter, but im not sure about that one.

just remember our chassis were designed when Jimmy Carter was the president, so there arent a lot of novelties available. plus it was designed for the 1978 Ford Fairmont. everything they did with our cars has to work with the old design.

We've got a 2-bottle kit at work. One is spray, the other goes in your washer fluid tank. I guess whenever you use your squirters it runs down into your cowling and it somehow gets into your ventilation system. Don't know about the second part but the first works like a charm. I've always heard that Lysol works but it seems like more of a temporary fix.

Bdcardinal, I've used the fridgey fresh stuff at work when we were out of the 2-part stuff and it does seem to work pretty good. I think we got it at NAPA.
