hi everyone, in addition to my Mustangs, I am gonna be looking at a 72 coupe tommorow, its has a 351C 2V, C4 and front disc brakes. the question is, is there anything I should be looking at that is considered a problem area for these cars. its a daily driven car with 6k+ on the rebuilt motor.
sorry, I was debating if I was supposed to post this in talk or tech, so, i did both. thanks. anyone own one? pics?? here's some of it

In addition to a standard thorough chasis inspection, problem rust areas specific to 71-73 are:

1. Cowel (no repro available). Easily inspected by removing plastic snap in cowel vent covers and reaching your arm in there to feel around.

2. Tail-light panel (repro available). Paying particular attention to the metal immediately around the tail-lights.

3. Trunk interior and bumper support brackets under rear tail-lights. (the rear tail-lights are a design flaw in my book since they trap water).

4. rear outer wheel wells (repro avail.) at quarter lip.

ARe you sure it is a c-4 tranny? my 72 coupe 351c-2v came with the FMX tranny.
I think the major areas to look at were covered. The Cowl for sure, it's not easir or cheap to get fixed.
