Hey Guys,

I have a set of these badges and was wanting to know what year, model, special edition etc. these come off of. I've searched the internet but have ran into dead ends. Maybe somebody here is also a Pontiac fanatic!

Thanks for looking!

I think there was a "Golden Eagle" version of the Jeep back in the 70's or 80's. That looks like it's from that.
Back in the day, Oldsmobile's for me. Liked Pontiac a lot too. Then they axed 'em both and I swore off anything new from GM.

I concur. The only "Golden Eagle" I have seen is the CJ7 from the mid to late seventies. I don't recall them using a cast badge. I've only seen them with the decal package. The package was also available on the J10 although I have not seen one of those. Is it possible that it was a contingency tag or maybe from an RV and somebody just really liked it?

Thanks guys!

I could see where you are coming from but there is a Pontiac insignia in the middle of the eagles chest.

I know Pontiac had a lot of odd ball special editions in the 70's...Grand Prix's, Firebirds etc.

Thanks Jetmech for the helping hand!

After much searching and even talking to some Pontiac guys/forums and posting in FB myself everyone has been at a loss. I did find a pic of a 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix that has T-tops and is gold in color that looks like it may have the badge on the fender....but, the picture is poor resolution. The year would be the countries bi-centennial, so it may be a special edition. What do you think?
