popping noise...............

yo...... ok i just changed my fuel preusser reg, cap, rotor, wires, and installed a MAS sensor from a 94 95 . my car is running fine but im getting alot of popping from the exhaust when its reving down its like a crackling sound. car does seem alot louder 2. also when im driveing im getting a mellow popping sound, but its not effecting anything when it does it. please help me out?????

Is your car running normal? Typical popping noises are caused from unburnt gasoline burning (exploding) in the exhaust / mufflers.

Sounds like your getting too much fuel. Do you have cats? Any codes for running lean? After you installed that gear did you reset the KAM? Whats your FP at?

Crossed wire or wire not on all the way. Put back the old maf and see if it still popping.

I had the same problem a while back when i changed my headers and plug wires.... check your wires and make sure they are in the right spot because they're probly crosswired causing a missfire

my fuel pressure is at 38psi . all the wires are on right but i do know that they touch the headers would that be y its doing it ??? and also my stock mas is bad thats y i changed it over
