Will a port matched PI intake fit my NPI heads or will the ports be too big?

Will a superchip programmed for a PI w/ gears, o/r midpipe and advanced timing work for my NPI GT as well?

If you use the PI gaskets between the NPI heads and PI intake you will just need a small dab of RTV to seal the one mismatch...a few writeups on here if you search.

No but he port-matched the intake, ie. he made the holes in the intake bigger to match his heads better right? I'm asking if this would be a problem with my NPI heads. A normal PI intake will work with the gasket and RTV, but will a ported PI-intake work?

What about the chip?

Sorry for sounding like such a newb :\

I can't see the intake it's an online deal. I imagine he ported it to fit the PI head holes and no bigger?

Also, what about the chip?

you would get non-smooth air flow with the transition from the intake to the head... some of the airflow would be stopped by the smaller ports on the head. Not good... Also in my opinion porting a plastic intake is a bad idea...

As far as the chip.. I'm not sure...

Thanks Orange. Ya a ported plastic intake might be more prone to cracking... and that flow disruption wouldn't be good. I think I'll pass on this one.

Answer your PM's once in a while too . BTW I'm getting some 4.10's for $140 used, should be fun .
