Ported heads vs. intake

If you could afford one or the other (but not both) before next spring and had the mods that are in my sig, which would you buy and why?

Due to money constraints, my current choices are:

- shipping heads to Steen Racing for porting and new valves

or

- P51 or Purple Racing intake (depending on how the latter dynos)

Edit: And, yes both of them are now shipping in small quantities.

Heads by far. Cams ould be a better investment than either.

Thats the thing. I've got cams, but I'm just wondering what the better investment would be between the port job and a better intake.

Id definately get the heads, since they usually gain about 30-50 hp I believe with the right tuning. You would prolly be around 320+ rwhp with your car and some ported heads. The intake usually only benefits greatly when used with heads. Thats where my money would go if it were available.

i figure do the heads now because when you decide to do teh intake you just ruin one set of intake gaskets. plus pulling the heads means you also pull the intake and you will learn how to pull the intake faster.

definately the heads. will go better with the rest of your mods IMO, & will be a better stepping stone for future mods
