I'm porting my e7s and lower and was wondering if I need to consider the fuel system at the same time. e7s will hopefully flow 180-200cfm and same with lower. Think I'll need to upgrade my stock fuel system to keep up?

Thanks,
Dave

You dont have to. But a set of 24# injs and a AFPR & bigger pump wont hurt either.

depending on your cam and exhaust and other things, I think the 24's would be a little overkill, but the afpr and bigger pump would be a good idea.

You would know, Tom!

I dk if it'll hit 200 cfm but I guess what I'm really wonderin' is if the stock fuel system is going to provide enough fuel relative to the maximum airflow possible thru porting stock parts.

What will a "better" pump do? In other words, what can't the stock pump do that a better pump can?

Dave

Put in a better fuel pump, use the 19# injectors. Getting 200 cfm from a stock lower is not easy.

The stock pump may be OK if it is delivering it's full fuel amount and pressure. A 156lph/190lph pump is pretty cheap - less than $100 delivered if you shop right and have the cash.

Stock inj will be fine, AFPR is a very good idea, and a fuel pump is a must if you have a stocker. It is only getting weaker over time (I found this out the hard way).

I have a completely stock fuel system on my H/C/I car. I am putting in 24lb injectors and 80mm maf this week. I think it is time for AFPR and Fuel pump. Don't you think so?
