my buddy just bought a 90 fox. question is when the car is running in neutral, when you push the clutch in and out the car will want to stall. with the clutch pushed in the idle is high. the problem was there when he bought the car, just put a clutch in and the problem is still there. (the clutch was bad, reason for replacement) havent pulled codes yet, but was wondering off the top of everyones heads what would it be? i am thinking i might have to use the surging idle checklist.

That is a weird problem. I would think the clutch isn't disengaging and engaging properly. If it wants to stall, that seems like the clutch would be clamping too much...never heard of that one!! Sorry.
